About us
Built by aviators, for Kentucky
Time of Flight Aviation exists to redefine what customers expect from helicopter aviation.
Who we are
Disciplined. Trusted. Veteran-led.
We are a Kentucky aviation company founded by three co-founders: D.J. Williams and Jeff Nustad, former U.S. Army Aviators and Airline Transport-rated helicopter pilots with more than 7,000 hours of combined rotary-wing experience, and Jennifer Sandlin, who leads business development and administration.
The rigor of Army Aviation shapes everything we do: deliberate planning, structured risk management, standardized procedures and continuous improvement. Every flight begins with a professional welcome and a thorough safety briefing, and no schedule, sale or expectation ever outranks safe flight.
Success is measured not only by the experiences we create, but by the trust we earn.

The crew
The people in your corner
D.J. Williams
Former U.S. Army Aviator and Airline Transport-rated helicopter pilot with a background in military and commercial helicopter operations, risk management and leadership. Oversees flight and business operations, regulatory coordination, safety culture and customer experience standards.
Jeff Nustad
Retired U.S. Army Aviator and Airline Transport-rated helicopter pilot with more than 25 years of leadership in demanding environments. Leads our pilots and sets the standard for flight operations, training, maintenance coordination and safety management.
Jennifer Sandlin
Leads business development and keeps the company running day to day, from reservations, scheduling and customer communications to partner relationships, so our pilots can stay focused on safe, professional flying. If you call or write, you'll likely hear from her first.

Meet the mascot
Bruno
The bloodhound behind our crest.
Bruno has a nose for adventure and ears built for the wind, which is exactly why he's the face of Time of Flight. He's our unofficial Chief Morale Officer, and he sets the standard we hold ourselves to: loyal, steady, and always paying attention.
That aviator-goggles portrait on our logo is his. If you see a bloodhound in a flight helmet on our aircraft, you've found the right company.
